About Me: Rachel Albin

Let's Get Acquainted

I started noticing a difference in my health about 6 months after I had my first baby. The first symptom was extreme fatigue and then excruciating joint pain. From there it seemed like a new symptom arose every few weeks. After coming to the realization this was not going away, My journey for resolution began. After countless appointments with various physicians with no resolve l, I ended up at the Mayo Clinic. Here is where my faith in physicians was restored. The first piece of the puzzle came to light. Lupus was the name of the disease that plagued me. After starting treatment and a hip replacement later, the started having new and even stranger symptoms. Here is where things got really serious. The rest is a long story of heartache and destruction to my body but with a great support system and lots of faith the last piece of my peculiar immune system was put into place. My goal is to share the things I learned along the way to help others and to be a light  and to help others who need guidance to get help and to share things that have helped me along the way!
